Skullreader is dark metal in its general term.
A warm atmospheric obsession where the incredible guitar riffing is shaping the spine of this album, a rare quality to find in a record in an era of "massive wall-breaking" productions.
Zhaaral's dark but crystal guitar playing, at times repetitive at times extraordinarily varied, remind us of Tiamat's "Astral Sleep" kind of guitar approach, with some obvious old-school dark metal roots but never, in the whole length of this album, managing to raise up annoying "deja vus".
