Ich kenn sonst nurnoch die Furey Brothers in diversen Kombinationen. Die sind instrumental noch um einiges besser als die Dubliners...

3. Welcher Liedstil gefällt euch am besten? Der "melancholische" der "kämpferische" oder das Gefrickel? Sauflieder gibt's ja auchnoch...

Ich mag's, aber nur in einem urchigen irischen Pub zu einem Guinness. Zuhause könnte ich mir diese Musik nicht anhören.
Bands kenne ich eigentlich keine, zog mir das Zeug aber während einer Irland-Tour des öfteren rein. War recht eindrücklich. Die spielen zum Teil 5 oder mehr Instrumente abwechslungsweise, ab und an sogar 3 gleichzeitig.

Ich mag es auch. Ein Beispiel meinerseits wäre Dougie Maclean.
Könntest du mir noch etwas mehr empfehlen? Kenne von dem Zeug nämlich noch nicht viele explizite Bands...
Ups, hab wohl nicht aufmerksam genug gelesen, naja vielleicht meldet sich ja noch jemand der mehr dieser Musik fröhnende Bands kennt.

ich hör die obligatorischen Pogues und alles wo Shane Mac Gowan (=die Macht) sonst noch so mitwirkt. Ansonsten die wolfe tones. is halt sehr nationalistisch, pro ira vs england und wahrscheinlich seit 40-30 jahren nicht mehr aktuell aber trotzdem cool.
früher hab ich noch sehr viel punk mit derartigen folk einflüssen wie Murphys oder flogging molly gehört, was ich wohl auch wieder verstärkt tun sollte...
