Auch in der neuen Ausgabe kommt das Thema Festivals nicht zu kurz. Elvis Dolff hat erstmals dem slowenischen Metalcamp einen Besuch abgestattet. Außerdem waren wir traditionellerweise auf dem kultig-kleinen Dong Open Air, das diesmal tolle Headliner-Auftritte zu bieten hatte.

In unserer Titelstory besinnen wir uns auf die Wurzeln der Rockmusik: Status Quo sind schon solange dabei, dass sie wie Relikte vergangener Zeiten wirken. Was Francis Rossi zum Weitermachen bewegt, erzählt er uns in der Titelstory. Außerdem telefonierte Dorian Gor mit den mysteriösen Ghost und dem Outlaw-Thrasher Joel Grind von Toxic Holocaust, Miri sprach mit ex-Onkel Matt „Gonzo“ Roehr und in der Artikelserie „Debütastisch!“ stellen wir von nun an hervorragende Debüt-Bands vor.
