This debut of this mysterious creature is a macabre but in the meantime aristocratic form of Black Metal that could be only misunderstood as a simple output of depressive Black Metal. I thought Black Metal is dead...no shit...if you´re in bands like Katatonia or Forgotten Woods...this could be just the right choice for ya...good sound, some new sounds...maybe fresh wind for the Black Metal scene

I thought Black Metal is dead...no shit...if you´re in bands like Katatonia or Forgotten Woods...this could be just the right choice for ya...good sound, some new sounds...maybe fresh wind for the Black Metal scene

Im Infoblatt steht ein wager Vergleich zu alten Katatonia Werken, den ich erst nicht glauben wollte, aber der doch nicht so ganz falsch ist. Ohne Melancholia Estatica direkt mit den Schweden von damals vergleichen zu wollen, all das, was "Dance of December Souls" ausgemacht hat, tritt in Grundzügen auch bei diesem Album in Erscheinung. Und nach mehrmaligem Hören klingt das Debütalbum immer besser und für weitere Alben ausbaufähig. Melancholisch depressiver Black Metal hat einen weiteren Namen: Melencholia Estatica.
